NHLThe Upper Deck Company has unveiled a new “Young Guns” word-mark logo in advance of the 2013-14 hockey card season. The logo was redesigned in advance of what UDC is promoting as its “NHL Double Rookie Class Season.”

The Young Guns rookie cards are featured in the annual Upper Deck hockey card set, the longest-running NHL card brand. Upper Deck Series One is traditionally released in November, just ahead of the bi-annual Sportcard & Memorabilia Expo.

Wrote Chris Carlin via the Upper Deck Blog, “we have updated the “Young Guns” logo for this memorable hockey season. (It) will be found on some of the most sought after rookie cards of the year!”

The 2013-14 season is billed as a “Double Rookie Class” season because it will feature rookie cards from two NHL seasons: the shortened 2012-13 season and upcoming 2013-14 season.
