NHLThe second edition of 2013-14 Upper Deck hockey cards will be available this Tuesday, Mar. 4, 2014. The second series picks up where the first series left off, counting up from card 251.

This year marks the 24th annual edition of Upper Deck hockey cards, the longest running series in the hockey collector marketplace. The first series was released in early November, shortly before the Fall 2013 edition of the Sportcard & Memorabilia Expo. The second series is published this week, shortly after the NHL resumed play after the Sochi 2014 Olympics.

Configuration for both series is the same, with eight cards in every hobby pack and 24 packs in every hobby box. There are 200 cards in the Upper Deck Series Two shell set (cards 251-450) and 50 short-printed Young Guns rookie cards.

Each hobby box delivers six Young Guns (on average, one RC in every fourth pack). A typical hobby box should include 11 or more rookies (rookie cards or rookie inserts), one of which will be a Rookie Materials jersey card.

Unique to Upper Deck Series Two, the packs also include 2013-14 O-Pee-Chee and 2013-14 Upper Deck MVP hockey cards.

Announced back in November, Upper Deck Series One was a hobby sell out.
