NHLThe 10th edition of Crown Royale hockey cards will launch in March, with the 2013-14 edition to include such popular names as Choice Award, Fan’s of the Game, Silhouette and Voices of the Game.

“Crown Royale’s trademark Silhouettes remain some of the coolest cards you’ll ever see, no matter how many times in how many different sports you see them,” wrote Tracy Hackler via The Knight’s Lance. “You will see them again (with a few aesthetic tweaks) when 2013-14 Crown Royale Hockey releases.”

The new 2013-14 edition will promise an autograph or memorabilia card in every pack, with a minimum of one autograph in every four-pack box. There are five cards in every pack.

“Something else you’ll see, as I did almost immediately when scouring the solicitation, is that 2013-14 Crown Royale Hockey features some elaborate new die-cutting that injects considerable pop to cards from the Regal Achievements and Heirs to the Throne inserts,” wrote Hackler.

The first edition of Crown Royale hockey cards were issued in 1997-98 by Pacific Trading Cards. After six editions in seven years through 2003-04, Panini America revived the hockey brand in 2010-11. Last year, the Crown Royale brand was included in the 2012-13 Rookie Anthology series.
