Ruutu bobble night in Raleigh

NHLIt is Tuomo Ruutu Bobblehead Night this Saturday Dec. 3 at the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC. The first 10,000 fans that arrive before the Carolina Hurricanes v Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game will receive the collectible toy. The bobble promotion is sponsored by Compuware.

This marks the second of four bobble nights for the Carolina Hurricanes this 2011-12 season. Earlier this year, fans received a Jeff Skinner bobble (with Calder Trophy in tow) for attending the Nov. 14 game. Future bobble nights are Jan. 20 Joni Pitkänen and Mar. 30 Tomas Kaberle.

Ruutu is in his fifth season with the Carolina Hurricanes. Originally drafted 9th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks, Ruutu joined the Hurricanes via a trade in February 2008. Just last season, he scored a career-high 38 assists and 57 points while playing in all 82 games for the Hurricanes.
