NHLThe Philadelphia Flyers paid tribute to Kimmo Timonen with a special warm-up jersey that marked the veteran’s 1,000th NHL game. The jerseys were worn ahead of the March 26 game against the Rangers.

All 21 jerseys worn (or prepared) by the Flyers for that game are available now via a live auction with the MeiGray Group. The auction runs through Apr. 25, 2013.

Each orange jersey features Timonen’s name and number (44) on the back. Each jersey has two signatures: both Timonen and the player who wore the jersey in warm up.

Timonen, who has played for the Nashville Predators and Flyers in his NHL career, reached the 1,000-game milestone on Mar. 18, 2013.

MORE FROM THE MEIGRAY GROUP
Every jersey worn by each of the participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
