NHLThe latest edition of Panini Unwrapped features a review of the 2013-14 Totally Certified hockey card series released this month. The 12-minute video features three boxes opened by the the Panini America trio of Tracy Hackler, Chris Barr and Matt Davis.

“It is kind of a throwback to the 1990s Totally Certified,” explained Chris Barr, Panini America’s Hockey Brand Manager, in the video. “We took the etching and also added the holographic mirror effect. Collectors from the 1990s will enjoy seeing those pop up again.”

Barr goes on to explain that other 2013-14 highlights include the Epix cards (also a 1990s throwback), Clear Clothes (a mix of acetate and memorabilia), and the first-ever HRX hockey video cards.

“Every box has at least an autograph jersey rookie while every pack has at least an autograph or a jersey card,” said Barr. “We also have hot boxes this year, so some boxes can have four, five or even six hits per box.”

Panini America’s Totally Certified is packaged five cards to a pack and four packs to a box.
