NHLPanini America has released the second edition of Dominion hockey, the company’s last series of the 2011-12 hockey card season. The hockey brand was released on Sep. 28, 2012. The super chase product promises three autographs and three additional “hits” in every pack.

“In Dominion, you are going to find at least eight cards,” said Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr. “There should be at least six hits, be it jerseys, autographs or patches. You are going to get at least one autograph rookie patch (with versions numbered to either 199 or 99) plus you are going to get one more autographed patch card.”

Highlights include the Rookie Autograph Patches (limited to 99 or 199 copies each), Peerless Patches, and Strapping Lads (game-used fight straps). Other popular hits are Tape to Tape Autographs, Mammoth Patches, All-Star Complete, Rookie Ensign Duals, Engravatures, and Sweeter by the Dozen.

“We have a variety of different memorabilia cards,” said Barr. “We used pucks, we used patches, we used sticks, we used the tape from the sticks, we used the shields from the jerseys.”

Panini America’s 2011-12 Dominion hockey costs approximately $350 per pack.

“For the price, it may be a little riskier for the collectors, but we try to make sure through the hand-packaging of this product that we get as much value as possible in every pack,” said Barr.
