CHLMore than 100 different heroes and prospects have signed autographs for the upcoming 2013-14 In The Game Heroes & Prospects hockey card set, to be released on Jan. 31, 2014. From initial checklists published by In The Game, 124 different players are featured in the Autograph and Jersey & Autograph insert sets (184 different cards).

This year marks the 10th edition for In The Game Heroes & Prospects, a hobby favourite since 2004-05. As the brand is fully licensed by the Canadian Hockey League, the series has often captured the so-called stars of tomorrow before they reach the National Hockey League. The brand has features retired hockey legends.

There are 108 Autograph cards, four dual-player Autograph cards, 24 Jersey & Autograph cards, 24 Top Prospects Jersey & Autograph cards, and 24 Subway Series Jersey & Autograph cards. Each of the 72 memorabilia and autograph cards are available in Silver (19 copies) and Gold (one copy).

Forty-one players are featured on two or more signature cards. Two of those players are featured on four different signature cards (Frederik Gauthier and Tristan Jarry).

As for player selection, the bulk of the autograph list features future stars, be it draft hopefuls like Sam Reinhart and Aaron Ekblad, drafted prospects like Jonathan Drouin and Bo Horvat, and recent junior-turned-pro rookies Tomas Hertl and Sean Monahan.

As for legends, the six Hockey Hall of Fame honoured members are Ron Francis, Brett Hull, Igor Larionov, Brian Leetch, Frank Mahovlich and Joe Nieuwendyk. Also included is legend Mike Modano.

On average, each 18-pack box will include two or three autograph cards (because autographs are seeded 1:7 packs).
