The Minnesota Wild will distribute Jonas Brodin collectible bobbleheads at their home game on Sunday night. The first 5,000 fans attending the Wild-Blues game on March 9 will receive the free hockey toy.
The Mar. 9 giveaway is the fourth in a five-player bobble series for this 2013-14 Minnesota Wild promotional season. Before the Olympics, the Wild celebrated Jason Pominville (Jan. 2) and Dany Heatley (Jan. 16) Bobble Nights. In March, the three Bobble Nights are Ryan Suter (Mar. 3), Brodin (Mar. 9) and Zach Parisé (Mar. 13). All five bobbles are sponsored by FOX Sports North.
Brodin is in his second season with the Minnesota Wild, having joined the NHL ranks in 2012-13. He finished fourth in Calder Trophy voting for top rookie honours. Before joining the Wild, he previously played for Färjestads BK in Sweden.
Other NHL teams like the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers and Los Angeles Kings have also distributed hockey bobbles this 2013-14 season.
In last year’s shortened NHL season, the Wild distributed just the one “vintage” Wild bobble as a promotional, in-stadium gift.
