MeiGray grab bags offer chance to pull a Mario

The MeiGray GroupCollectors have a 1 in 50 chance to pull a Mario Lemieux game-worn jersey from the latest MeiGray Group Hall of Fame Grab Bag. The concept is simple: collectors pay $495 for a closed game-worn jersey – which could be the Lemieux or some common player. You won’t know which game jersey you’ve added to your collection until it arrives in the mail.

Actually, if you don’t get the Lemieux, you may still very well get a very good player. Thirty of the 50 packages feature a game-worn jersey that has an approximate retail price of $495-$595. The other 20 are all better, be it one of the 10 from Group A (Daniel Alfredsson, Josh Bailey, Ed Belfour, Jay Bouwmeester, Jonathan Cheechoo, Andrew Cogliano, Patrik Elias, Scott Gomez, Paul Stastny or Blake Wheeler), one of the 9 from Group B (Phil Kessel, Henrik Lundqvist, Mike Modano, Markus Näslund, Dion Phaneuf, Luke Schenn, Ryan Smyth, Jason Spezza or Mats Sundin), or the one Lemieux (a 1996-97 Penguins black jersey).
