Kings to honour Hrudey on Legends Night

NHLThe Los Angeles Kings will honour Kelly Hrudey in the team’s second Legends Night of the 2012-13 season. Hrudey will be honoured in a pre-game ceremony before the Kings-Flames game on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

Fans in attendance at the Staples Center will receive special Kelly Hrudey-style bandanas. As for the players, they will wear the Kings’ vintage Purple and Gold jerseys for the second and final time this season.

Hrudey played 15 seasons in the NHL with the Kings, Islanders and Sharks, and eight of those seasons were spent in Los Angeles. Hrudey was 271-265-88 with a 3.43 goals-against average, 89.3 save percentage and 17 shutouts in 677 career regular season NHL appearances. He also appeared in 85 career playoff games.

With the Kings, Hrudey was 145-135-62 with a 3.47 goals-against average, 89.6 save percentage and 10 shutouts in 360 regular season appearances. He also appeared in 57 playoff games with the Kings.
