A.J. Sports World of Vaughan, ON will host three young hockey stars this Thursday Jul. 30. Dave Bolland of the Chicago Blackhawks as well as highly-anticipated 2009-10 rookies Matt Duchene (Colorado Avalanche) and Cody Hodgson (Vancouver Canucks) will sign autographs this Thursday evening starting at 7pm.

Bolland autographs cost $15 (regular items) to $25 (bulky items) each; Hodgson autographs cost $20 (regular) to $30 (bulky) each; Duchene autographs cost $25 (regular) to $35 (bulky) each.

Bolland was part of the fabled London Knights team that went on an unprecedented 31-game unbeaten streak (29-0-2) during the 2004-05 Ontario League season. He won the Memorial Cup with the Knights that year and an IIHF World Junior Championships gold medal with Canada less than a year later. He made his NHL debut in 2006-07 and has since played 138 games including playoffs.

Hodgson just made his professional debut at the end of the 2008-09 season, suiting up for the Canucks’ affiliate Manitoba Moose in the AHL playoffs. He is expected to be one of the leading Calder Trophy candidates this coming 2009-10 NHL season. At the junior level, he won a gold medal with Canada at the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championships. Just last year, he was the 10th overall draft pick in the NHL Entry Draft.

Duchene is also expected to make his NHL debut this coming season. A teammate of Hodgson with the Ontario League’s Brampton Battalion, Duchene has scored 30 goals in each of his first two major-junior season. This summer, he was selected third overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Avalanche.
