NHLThe Carolina Hurricanes will distribute Jordan Staal collectible bobbleheads at their home game on Sunday night. The first 10,000 fans attending the Hurricanes-Lightning game on Jan. 19, 2014 will receive the free hockey toy.

The Hurricanes Sunday giveaway is the second in a four-player bobble series for this 2013-14 promotional season. In November, a Jeffrey Skinner bobblehead was distributed ahead of the team’s home game. Before the end of the season, there will be both an Alexander Semin Bobble Night (February 8) and a Justin Faulk Bobble Night (April 3).

The Sunday bobble will feature Staal in a black Hurricanes jersey. While past bobbles have featured Staal with the Pittsburgh Penguins, this is the first bobble featuring Staal with the Hurricanes.

In 2009-10, the Hurricanes celebrated Eric Staal Bobble Night (honouring Jordan’s older brother) on March 4, 2010.

This 2013-14 season, other NHL teams like the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota Wild have also distributed hockey bobbles. Also on Sunday Jan. 19, the Blackhawks will distribute a Brandon Saad hockey bobble.
