Jerseys: MeiGray auctions USA Hockey collection
The MeiGray Group and USA Hockey have announced an exclusive multi-year agreement to authenticate and market USA game-worn jerseys. It marks the first time that USA Hockey’s international jerseys will be made available to hockey fans around the world. The collection will include Olympics, IIHF World Championships and IIHF World Junior Championships.
“We’re pleased to provide a program whose proceeds will provide resources for future generations of players through the
USA Hockey Foundation,” said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey, “It’s also a tremendous program in the sense that it gives our fans an opportunity to share in the legacy of our teams through purchasing game-worn jerseys.”
“We are honored and delighted that USA Hockey has chosen to work with us,” said Barry Meisel, MeiGray’s president and chief operating officer. “As game-worn jersey enthusiasts, we are excited to see authenticated, game-worn, Team USA jerseys available.”
The first jerseys available for purchase are those from the Men’s and Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Tournaments. The men’s white jersey set (6-1 win over Norway) are available through Mar. 31, the retro 1960 jerseys (5-3 win over Canada) are available through Apr. 1, and the women’s white jerseys (13-0 win over Russia) are available through Apr. 6.
