NHLThe much-anticipated debut of In The Game StickWork will launch on Thursday via collector stores in Canada and USA. The 2013-14 all-stick series will be available on Feb. 27, 2014.

The product is limited to 2,500 boxes, with three rare stick cards in every box (so total 7,500 cards). Every card is limited to 19 copies or less, with gold versions uniquely limited to just one copy.

Every card will be packaged in a magnetic one-touch holder. The cards featured pieces cut from authentic game-used hockey sticks from the 1930s to present.

Among the notable scarce cards are the signed Lumbergraphs, a popular series carried over from other brands. The all-vintage checklist features Hockey Hall of Fame honoured members like Turk Broda, Aurèle Joliat, Howie Morenz, Eddie Shore and Maurice Richard.

The folks at In The Game are of course very proud of this brand. In the words of company president Dr. Brian Price, “to come up with a concept that has never been done before, well that takes a combination of creativity, some great memorabilia and a love for the game.”

Fifteen years ago, In The Game issued its first game-used stick cards in the 1998-99 Be A Player hockey card series.
