Howe duo to sign at Frozen Pond this Saturday
Father Gordie and son Marty Howe will sign autographs this Saturday Nov. 3, 2012 at the Frozen Pond hockey store in Concord, ON. The duo will be in store just north of Toronto from noon to 2pm. For more information, hockey fans are asked to call Frozen Pond at 905.760.8404.
Hockey Hall of Fame honoured member Gordie Howe, otherwise known as Mr. Hockey, is one of the big hockey legends. A six-time Art Ross Trophy winner as the league’s top scorer, he retired in 1980 as the National Hockey League’s all-time leading scorer with 801 goals and 1,850 points. He won the Stanley Cup four times with the Detroit Red Wings and the AVCO World Trophy twice with the Houston Aeros.
Son Marty was a back-to-back AVCO World Trophy winner with dad Gordie on the Houston Aeros (as was younger brother Mark Howe). In the NHL, he played for the Hartford Whalers and Boston Bruins, helping the 1982-83 Bruins with the NHL’s regular-season title after a 50-win season.
The full autograph price list is available via frozenpond.com. If you are bringing your own items, Gordie Howe autographs cost between $99 (“small flat items”) and $265 (premium items such as jerseys, equipment, etc.). Marty Howe autographs cost just $10.
Also this month at Frozen Pond, Toronto Maple Leafs’ prospects Carter Ashton, Joe Colborne, Matt Frattin and Ben Scrivens will sign at the Frozen Pond store on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 7-8pm. Ashton, Colborne and Scrivens autographs are $10 for flat items and $15 for bulky items; Frattin autographs are $15 for flat items and $20 for bulky items.
