Media will have the opportunity to preview the upcoming Maple Leaf Gardens auction on Thursday Oct. 11, 2012. The auction – The Artifacts of Maple Leaf Gardens – will be previewed at none other than Maple Leaf Gardens itself in downtown Toronto, with the media event beginning at 11am.

The online auction runs Oct. 11 to Nov. 14, with the public able to view the items at Maple Leafs Gardens from Thursday through Saturday (3-8pm on Oct. 11, 10am-8pm on Oct. 12, and 10am-3pm on Oct. 13). Hockey fans and prospective bidders can collect their auction catalogues on site through the three-day preview.

The auction will feature more than 100 items. Items include original Stanley Cup banners, retired player banners, photos, benches from the penalty boxes, and (yup) even the toilet from the Maple Leaf Gardens locker room.
