A highlight to this year’s 2013-14 Dominion hockey cards is the fold-out Frozen Moments autograph series. The rare booklet autograph cards are all limited to 99 copies or less with stars both present and past featured in the set.

Like the insert name suggests, each card in this series features a memorable moment that Panini America has ‘frozen’ in time to the benefit of collectors. Each ‘half’ is the size of a trading card (horizontal dimension), with the memorable moment usually on the left card and the player autograph on the right card.

There are seventeen cards in the Frozen Moments set, from 1970s Stanley Cup winner Bobby Clarke to 2012 NHL first-overall draft pick Nail Yakupov. Cards are numbered to 99 copies, 50 copies, 25 copies (Lemieux, Roy and Yzerman) and 10 copies (scarce Crosby). The 17 players are:

FM-JQ Jonathan Quick aut/50 (2012 Conn Smythe Trophy winner)
FM-OV Alex Ovechkin aut/99 (Goal from his back)
FM-ML Mario Lemieux aut/25 (5 goals 5 ways)
FM-KP Keith Primeau aut/99 (2:OT game-winning goal)
FM-RM Ryan Miller aut/99
FM-BH Brett Hull aut/50 (Stanley-Cup winning goal)
FM-HX Ron Hextall aut/50
FM-RB Raymond Bourque aut/50 (Bourque finally wins the Cup)
FM-MM Mark Messier aut/99 (The guarantee)
FM-SY Steve Yzerman aut/25
FM-BC Bobby Clarke aut/50 (1st expansion team to win Cup)
FM-MB Martin Brodeur aut/50 (All-time wins leader)
FM-NY Nail Yakupov aut/99 (Game-Tying Goal Celebration)
FM-PK Patrick Kane aut/99 (Stanley-Cup winning goal)
FM-SC Sidney Crosby aut/10
FM-PD Pavel Datsyuk aut/50 (Datsyukian deke shootout goal)
FM-PN Patrice Bergeron aut/99

The Frozen Moments aren’t the only booklet-like autograph cards in 2013-14 Dominion. Also popular are the Ice Level rookie jersey and autograph cards, featuring rookies from the 2012-13 campaign like Nail Yakupov and Alexander Galchenyuk.
