Hockey Hall of Fame honoured member Dale Hawerchuk will sign autographs at the upcoming Spring 2015 Sportcard & Memorabilia Expo. Coffey is the latest retired star confirmed for the upcoming three-day hockey memorabilia weekend.
Hawerchuk was a back-to-back Memorial Cup champion with the Cornwall Royals before being drafted first overall by the Winnipeg Jets. He was the NHL’s most outstanding rookie (Calder Trophy) in 1981-82. Just three years later, he was runner-up to Wayne Gretzky in voting for the league’s most valuable player honours.
After nine years with the Jets, he played for the Buffalo Sabres, St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers. In 1996-97, he helped the Flyers win the Prince of Wales Trophy to reach the Stanley Cup final. He became an honoured member of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001.
So far, both Hawerchuk, Paul Coffey and Frank Mahovlich are confirmed autograph signers for the upcoming Spring 2015 Expo.
