Hockey fans enjoyed the past week in Toronto collecting autographs of Hockey Hall of Fame honoured members. It all started at Frozen Pond on Thursday night in Concord (north of Toronto), followed by three days at the Fall 2013 Sportcard & Memorabilia Expo in Mississauga (by the Toronto Airport) from Nov. 8-10.
The big draw was Mario Lemieux on Saturday at the Fall Expo. Lemieux was one of 11 honoured guests that appeared at the three day show. Other guests were Bobby Hull, Mike Modano, Ed Belfour, Börje Salming, Geraldine Heaney (two days before she was honoured), Guy Lafleur, Vladislav Tretiak, Lanny McDonald, Jacques Laperrière and Pierre Pilote.
Bryan Trottier, meanwhile, was a guest at the Frozen Pond store on Nov. 7.
Also during the weekend, the annual Hockey Hall of Fame Legends game took place on Sunday at the old Maple Leaf Gardens in downtown Toronto. Then on Monday night, Heaney, Chris Chelios, Scott Niedermayer and Brendan Shanahan were honoured by the Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Induction Class of 2013.
