NHLThe month-long Classic historical hockey memorabilia auction will come to a close this week. The 1,337-lot Winter 2014 auction closes Tuesday, Feb. 25.

The auction will close at 10pm, although a five-minute rule does apply so that bidding may continue beyond the deadline. As noted by Classic Auctions, though, “to place a bid after 10pm during the five-minute rule, you must have placed an initial bid on that particular item before 10pm on the auction’s closing night. This means that if you have not bid on a particular lot before 10pm (on Feb.25 that) you may not bid on that lot after 10pm.”

All bids are listed in U.S. dollars. On top the winning bid, there is an industry-standard buyer’s premium. As noted, “a 19.5% buyer’s premium will be added to each piece on your invoice. Winning bidders are responsible for the shipping and handling costs which include shipping, packing and materials. Winning bidders are also responsible for any other costs related to shipping: customs, duties, taxes or brokerage that might become payable upon delivery.”

The auction features just about everything and anything when it comes to hockey. The auction features game-worn jerseys, game-used sticks, autographs, hockey cards, trophies, and unique memorabilia.

The Classic Winter 2014 Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction runs Jan. 28 through Feb. 25. A report with auction highlights will be published on The Want List next Saturday.
