AHLThe American League’s Chicago Wolves will wear their special purple “Cancer Survivors” jersey on Jan. 21. The special jerseys have already been worn for the Jan. 14 and Jan. 18 games. These jerseys will be auctioned and raffled with proceeds benefiting Chicago Wolves Charities and cancer-related charities.

MORE FROM THE CHICAGO WOLVES
Wolves right wing Darren Haydar has chosen to wear a new jersey each of the three nights during the Cancer Survivors week in honour of his wife, Sara. Sara was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer in 2008 and has endured 15 surgeries in the past three years. Though she continues to undergo treatment, she has been cancer-free since April 2009.

These jerseys will be available for purchase in four ways:

Raffle
One of Darren Haydar’s three Cancer Survivors jerseys will be raffled. In addition, as selected by fan voting, the jerseys of J.P. Testwuide, Anton Rodin, and Stefan Schneider will be raffled. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. Raffle sales began at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, when the doors open and will close at the end of the second intermission of each game. The raffle will conclude at the end of the second intermission on Saturday, Jan. 21. Raffle tickets can be purchased in-arena only at the Chicago Wolves Charities Table at the Customer Service Booth, located in the Southeast lobby of the Allstate Arena behind Section 116.

Blind Auction
The jersey of forward Michael Davies will be available through a blind auction. Simply bid the highest amount you would like to pay for the jersey and the highest bid submitted by the end of the game on Saturday, Jan. 21, will be the winner. The minimum bid is $250, and you will not know what others are bidding. You can pick up blind auction forms at the Chicago Wolves Charities Table at the Customer Service Booth, located in the Southeast lobby of the Allstate Arena behind Section 116. The blind auction is available in-arena only. ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CHICAGO WOLVES CHARITIES TABLE BY THE END OF THE GAME ON JAN. 21, 2012.
