Bobble: Griffins Promotion

It will be up to the fans to decide what bobblehead will be distributed at the Grand Rapids Griffins’ Mar. 6 home game against the Manitoba Moose. For the second year in a row, the Griffins are asking their fans to cast the deciding vote at griffinshockey.com (the voting deadline is Oct. 19 at noon).

Fans can choose either head coach Curt Fraser (bobble fists), play-by-play broadcaster Bob Kaser, current Red Wings center Darren Helm, goaltender Daniel Larsson, or zamboni driver Duke (zamboni bobblehead). The winner will be announced at the Griffins’ home opener against the Abbotsford Heat on Friday, Oct. 23.

Last season’s inaugural promotion resulted in 2,500 Justin Abdelkader bobbleheads being given away on Mar. 21, 2009. The new 2010 bobble will be sponsored by Great Lakes Chrysler Jeep.
