100 years of collecting celebrated by The Want List
The Want List hockey card & memorabilia magazine will celebrate 100 years of collecting this 2010-11 season. The celebration honours the first National Hockey Association set published in 1910 – the Imperial Tobacco set otherwise classified as the “C56″ set. The Want List will celebrate the milestone in all four of its magazine issues this season.
The Want List is a hockey card & memorabilia magazine. Launched in 2009, the new magazine features the best of hockey, from the National Hockey League down to the junior ranks. This 2010-11 season, there will be four new issues: TWL006 (November); TWL007 (January), TWL008 (March) and TWL009 (May).
In each issue, The Want List will highlight the “25 Most Influential” in four different categories, giving readers 100 different “bests” of the hockey collecting hobby over the course of the season. Each category will be voted by a 25-person panel, thus engaging 100 different hobbyists in the series. The four categories are “Collector Brands”, “Hockey Themes”, “Hockey Jerseys”, and “Hockey Players”.
Voting on the four categories will take place during the month of October. The Want List has identified a list of 50 for each category.
