NHLThe Pittsburgh Penguins St. Patrick’s Day green practice jerseys will sell at auction this Thursday. The charity auction closes on Mar. 27, 2014.

The Penguins wore the St. Patrick’s Day jerseys during their pre-game warm up on Mar. 16. The practice jerseys were worn ahead of a Penguins-Flyers game.

As noted by the Penguins, “each player signed their jersey on the back number and a certificate of authenticity from the Pittsburgh Penguins is included. Proceeds from this special jersey auction benefit the cancer research and patient care initiatives of the Mario Lemieux Foundation and the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation’s youth charities.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are one of several teams this year who wore green practice jerseys around St. Patrick’s Day.

NHLThe Chicago Blackhawks St. Patrick’s Day green practice jerseys will sell at auction this Sunday. The charity auction closes on Mar. 23, 2014.

The Blackhawks wore the St. Patrick’s Day jerseys during their pre-game warm up on Mar. 16. The practice jerseys were worn ahead of a Blackhawks-Red Wings game at the United Center.

As noted by the Blackhawks, each “one-of-a-kind jersey will be autographed by the player who wore it; jerseys will be auctioned online from Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m. through Sunday, March 23, at 9 p.m CST., with all proceeds benefitting Chicago Blackhawks Charities.”

Bruins to wear St. Patrick’s Day warm-up jerseys

NHLThe Boston Bruins will wear St. Patrick’s Day warm-up jerseys before the Saturday, Mar. 16 home game against the Capitals. Two of the jerseys will be raffled while six other jerseys have been confirmed to be sold via an online auction.

The two “raffle” jerseys available via NHL Raffles are the Patrice Bergeron and Dougie Hamilton jerseys. Proceeds from these two raffles will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation.

The six jerseys available via NHL Auctions are Greg Campbell, Andrew Ference, Nathan Horton, David Krejci, Tuukka Rask, and Dennis Seidenberg.

The closing date for the six jersey auctions is Mar. 27, 2013.

Stars to wear St. Patrick’s Day warm-up jerseys

NHLThe Dallas Stars will again wear special St. Patrick’s Day warm-up jerseys this season. The custom jerseys will be worn on Saturday, Mar. 16 before the Stars’ home game against the Blackhawks.

The custom jerseys will then be auctioned off at the Stars Foundation table inside the Dr. Pepper Arena (outside section 113) and online at auctions.nhl.com.

According to the Stars Foundation, last year’s St. Patrick’s Day auction “rasied over $16,000 for the Foundation.”

Blue Jackets to wear St. Patrick’s Day jerseys

NHLThe Columbus Blue Jackets will wear 2013 St. Patrick’s Day warm-up jerseys before their home game on Saturday, Mar. 16. The green practice jerseys – which will then be signed – will be sold via auction to benefit the Blue Jackets Foundation.

Each green practice jersey is “adorned with a Shamrock patch in recognition of St. Patrick’s Day.” Fans can bid on the jerseys at games on Mar. 14 (against the Blackhawks) and Mar. 16 (against the Coyotes). All jerseys open with a starting bid of $150; each auction ends at the end of the second period.

Sharks jersey auction and St. Patrick’s Day pucks

NHLThe San Jose Sharks will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early this year through a pair of home games on March 9 and March 14, 2013. The Sharks will market “specially-designed Mystery Pucks and practice jerseys” to help benefit the team’s charity Sharks Foundation.

The practice jerseys will be worn during the morning skates at HP Pavilion. The jerseys will be autographed by the respective players and will be sold via blind auction over two nights at the Sharks Foundation booth, located between Section 118 and 120. These auctions will close by the end of the 1st intermission.

Jerseys sold on March 9 are those of Patrick Marleau, Joe Pavelski, Ryan Clowe, Logan Couture, Douglas Murray, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Martin Havlat, Thomas Greiss, Tim Kennedy, T.J. Galiardi, Jason Demers and Matt Irwin. Jerseys sold on March 14 are those of Joe Thornton, Dan Boyle, Brent Burns (not worn), Antti Niemi, Brad Stuart, James Sheppard, Justin Braun, Michal Handzus (not worn), Tommy Wingels (not worn), Adam Burish, Andrew Desjardins and mascot S.J. Sharkie. The lone jersey sold via the nhl.auctions website is the one worn by Scott Gomez.

SHARKS MYSTERY PUCKS
“Erin Go Bragh” is S.J. Sharkie’s favorite saying this St. Patrick’s Day! Mystery Pucks featuring SJ Sharkie in a pot of gold will be available over two nights on the concourse level of the North and South Entrances of HP Pavilion. Every puck is guaranteed to be signed by a player from the 2012-13 team and will be individually wrapped so the player’s identity remains a surprise until after purchase. During each sale a select number of pucks will be labeled “WINNER” and the lucky fans who select these pucks will win additional prizes.

Because of the popularity of this fundraiser, fans are encouraged to arrive early, as most have sold out well before the start of the game. Pucks are just $20 each and net proceeds will benefit this season’s Sharks Foundation Grant Recipients and community programming. Islanders auction features St. Patrick’s jerseys

NHLThe New York Islanders St. Patrick’s Day auction closes this Mar. 3, featuring warm-up jerseys that will be worn before the upcoming home game on Mar. 9. Each jersey is a “Kelly green jersey that feature each player’s name and number in a Gaelic font.”

The auction, which launched Feb. 16, benefits the Islanders Children’s Foundation.
