NHLUp North Productions / hockey Media congratulates Caroline Ouellette on becoming the Canadian Women’s Hockey League’s all-time leading scoring. Congratulations was sent after Ouellette broke the league record on Feb. 7, 2015.

Ouellette, one of six players to win the Angela James Bowl in the CWHL’s first seven seasons, set the new all-time record with her 235th career point in the MontrĂ©al Stars’ 4-3 away win over the Brampton Thunder on Saturday night. Ouellette surpassed former record holder Jayna Hefford, another former Angela James Bowl winner who is not playing this season.

Ouellette is a two-time Most Valuable Player of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League, winning the honour in 2008-09 (when she finished second to Hefford in the scoring race) and 2010-11. Along with winning the Angela James as the CWHL’s top scorer in 2010-11 (a year in which she scored in all 26 league games), she has finished second in scoring twice (2008-09 and 2011-12).

Ouellette now holds CWHL records for career points, career assists (since 2011-12), and assists in a single season (46 in 2010-11). She is also a three-time Clarkson Cup winner with all-time tournament records in goals, assists and points.
